When you are a student studying business or economics at Elmhurst College in the Center for Business and Economics (CBE), you become part of a community of individuals which takes a very broad perspective of the global business environment. That's because the scope of your education in the CBE results from both the development of broad-based liberal learning skills such as oral and written communications, critical thinking and problem solving combined with learning practical business applications and theory. It's all part of the College's commitment to purposeful learning and professional excellence in the liberal arts tradition.

Our Chicago land locations provides individual with many opportunities beyond the traditional classroom environment. Students can take full advantage of professional experiences such as mentoring, shadowing, internships and field experiences. The CBE also provides many international education opportunities, recognizing that the world of business is increasingly global and that students must understand the nuances of business and culture worldwide.
