The Accounting Workshop
This workshop explained payroll, invoice creation, check writing
process and more to interested students.
Performance Appraisals
Attendees learned how to conduct performance appraisals to
reward employees and maximize their performance. In addition,
common errors
in performance appraisals were explained along with the benefits
entrepreneurs can realize from motivated employees who are
rewarded.
Entrepreneurial Research Using the Internet
Students learned how to use the internet to provide a wealth
of valuable information for new business ventures. Demographic
information
sites were explored along with government regulatory sites,
banking and finance sites, insurance sites and human resource
sites.
Financial Issues You Need to Know to Start Your Own
Business
Legal, accounting, and taxation issues associated with starting
a business were covered. Students were taught how to choose
the appropriate business structure, how to follow government
regulations,
and how to finance the start-up. Various accounting and
software packages were also explained.
Creating A Webpage
Students learned what was involved in creating a webpage
and learned how to create one. Popular business webpages
were reviewed
and
their construction analyzed.
Innovation and the Entrepreneur
Students will learn how important it is to manage innovation
in an entrepreneurial venture plus learn methods of creating
a culture
for innovation and change.
