The Elmhurst College Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute
was established to conduct research:
- Focused on relevant logisitcs and supply chain management concerns,
interests and problems to enhance understanding and push the
edge of knowledge in the field.
- That will develop teaching theory
and application and allow students
to enter the work force with "leading edge" knowledge.
- That will increase the value of knowledge to the logistics
profession provided by academe.
- Which involves students to
enhance their knowledge and skills beyond the classroom.
- Focused
on the application of information technology for better decision-making
skills in the supply chain.
Corporate Partnership Program The Corporate Partnership Program was designed for select corporations
and the Elmhurst College Logistics and Transportation Management
Program to join in partnership for the mutual benefit and empowerment
of both. One of the main goals of the Corporate Partnership Program
is to bridge together academic theory and business practice.
Membership is limited to twenty-five of the premier corporations
involved in logistics and transportation today.
There is a one-time membership fee of $1,500, which is a tax-deductible.
Students scholarships will benefit from $500 of the fee. Checks can
be made payable to Elmhurst College.
