American Marketing Association
(AMA)
Many business majors are active members of the award-winning Elmhurst
student chapter of the American Marketing Association. An example
of the chapter's activity is the hosting of on-campus entrepreneurship
conferences for students, faculty, alumni, and area business people.
One recent conference, which attracted more than 150 participants,
featured John Goeken, the founder of MCI, as a keynote speaker. The
chapter has also been honored at the AMA's International Collegiate
Conferences for its many projects and programs ranging from entrepreneurship
to community service..
Elmhurst chapter won an AMA Outstanding Community Service Award
in April 2000 at the AMA International Conference in New Orleans,
where they were recognized as one of 4 top chapters out of the entire
country. Go to the AMA awards page to learn more about the students'
accomplishments and to take a look at some of the photos taken at
the ceremony.
